A little tease.

Also big thanks to LurkerLito for the logo design.

Hello,

Finally something that not RAID but somewhat like UnRaid. I have been hesitant to go with UnRaid as I am not a Unix guy (no techie either). I downloaded RC3 but only thing I saw was a DOS window (like Unix) and FlexRaid scared me as well but with this GUI, looks like my patient wait will be over.

Please keep up the good work. Warm Wishes

Well, thanks.
I am not a big fan of the command line either, but it was faster for me to create a command line client in order to get FlexRAID out.

I do understand that there is a large group of users that just won't do command line.
The interesting thing is that even after the web client is out, many will still use the command line client.
The web client configurations can be exported to be run using the command line client.

I am almost done with the new UI.
I won't release it though... not until I am done with the redesign of FlexRAID, which will take a couple of weeks.
I need to tune up the new RAID engines.

There will be a lot of neat features to add to the web UI later.
Hopefully, people will get on board and start creating plug-ins.

Hello,

Thanks for understanding the concern. Reminds me of those days when DOS was around and Microsoft litrally crushed the market with a GUI (Windows 3.1).

I am not a techie but can contribute in testing. Give me a month as I just started my new job.

The remark about Windows 3.1 was a good one. LOL!

Well, I am looking forward to you helping on testing.

Please stop teasing us.

When are you planning for public release (server and client)? Desperately waiting for it. Any plans for a donation link with Public release?
Moreover you may want to introduce flexraid at www.meedios.com. Meedio/MeedioS is a HTPC software and FlexRaid could be a highly valuable addition.

Please keep up the good work.

Teasing is fun.

I have a few features I need to complete before I release the web client.
Give it a few more weeks.

Donations? Hum... I don't have time to worry about that.
We'll see in the future. However, thanks for the thought.

Getting the word out to other forums? Again, no time to do that.
My posts on Hardforum and AVSforum are where I would stop for now.
You guys are free to spread the word.
Hopefully, with greater interest, we might see some developer interest and some cool features added to FlexRAID.

Hi. I am about to rebuild my WHS1. I had thought to use FlexRaid instead of Folder Duplication. I was looking for the most recent up to date version am I found this "teaser".

The obvious question is should I wait of jump in with the version 2.0 build 10 or go all the way back to the latest stable version I can find 1.3. For a newbie to this, it doesn't seem to make sense that the most recent version that does not expire, is no longer supported. What am I missing??

Thanks
