When I look at the result of your import command and the screenshot I can see that they differ. In other words, the application concluded correctly that the configuration is different.
Can you import the configuration again and verify that the DRU's are in the correct order (in the treeview) after the import? When you then close and reopen the application everything should work again as expected.

The question now is, why did the order of your DRU's change after the reboot?

I will add advanced configuration options to the next release.

There is a bug in the current release affecting the DRU indexes.
I was doing a textual sort as opposed to a numerical sort.
This affects all users having more than 10 DRUs.

Rapware,

Given Brahmin's reply do you still want me to collect the info for you?

Also one more question, will exclusions be added. Reason I ask is I am protecting my bluray and DVD rips with flexraid, within those directorys are My Movies metadata files that change. I don't care to back those up and in fact they will cause errors. Thanks again, love the gui.

No, I think that explains the behavior you are experiencing.

Yes.
They will be part of the advanced options.

Wait, is what's shown below a proper configuration for WHS?!? This shows each path on a drive as being a separate DRU. When I've configured FlexRAID for my WHS, each DRU is a single drive (unit of risk), with the multiple shares I'm protecting being deliniated with a semicolon (such as: DRU1 = C:\fs\X\DE\shares\BluRay;C:\fs\T\DE\shares\DVD). Using each share as an individual DRU means I couldn't use the T2+ engine, because I have 6 shares x 12 drives. Can the DRU paths be separated with a semicolon to combine paths into one DRU with this client? From what I can see, there is no exclude option yet?

Thanks!

Worst than that, using each share as a DRU exposes you to multiple failures if a drive fails.
Always, use a physical drive as DRU.

Yeah, I thought that wasn't right. I tried enterying DRUs with the various shares separated with a semicolon, but got an error that multiple paths weren't supported. So I guess this client isn't applicable to those of us using WHS. (?)

You can add multiple drives/folders/files per DRU... just select the correct DRU in the combobox left from the location before you add it.

AH, ok, I see, thanks! But there's not yet any way to exclude files, right?

Is it possible to remote connect over the internet thru this GUI?

I'm able to port forward to the computer with FlexRaid 1.4 B7 and the test connection succeeds, but when I hit OK I get the error, "The application was able to connect to the FelxRAID engine, however this version of the application is only compatible with FlexRAID 1.4! HHTP/1.1 400 Bad Request is installed."

When I try the GUI locally, it works.

Great app. It's nice to not have to use SSH to check my tasks. Thanks RAPWare!

Would it be possible to have a checkbox on the connect screen which forces the app to always connect using IP? I am connecting to my FlexRAID service on a *nix box and sometimes the hostname resolution doesn't work (Netbios issue perhaps), and I get a Read error 64 which appears to be "host not available". I tried just entering the IP and no hostname, and it won't let me test the connection.

Thanks again!

I am doing testing on my newly built array. I have a dumb question....if an indivdual folder is deleted, how do you restore? It appears that it wants to to restore an entire drive. If you don't know where the folder "lived" how do you know which drive to use??

Thanks.........

Hi, I have just downloaded, unzipped and run the gui, for some reason it opens in a way that I can't see all the help text on the right and the buttons are missing at the bottom.

I am using RDP to access the machine I am running the gui on which may explain the issue in some way as the local physical resolution is much higher than the remote desktop. happy to send an image if required.

Does this GUI work with an existing install of FlexRAID 2.0 preview build 6 (snapshot features only)? I'm most interested in being able to see the Processing % progress display, as I'm not seeing anything like that in the webGUI.
