http://www.vilett.com/disParity/forum/topic.php?id=57 , although not for flex, this does show an attempt to create a gui for similar purposes. I thought it was worth showing.

this well known

the thing is that if there is a web interface easy enough and complete enough (and the current one is indeed close to being such - missing only a proper easy install as service and using system schedules), then there is NO need for another GUI

webUI runs without any install, from anywhere you have access to your flexRAID web server port

one less thing for Brahim to maintain too (and as it seems he doesn't have much time lately)

now if SOMEONE ELSE wanted to make a GUI, feel free... it should be easy enough to just make it make calls to console client

BUT if someone makes a GUI but it depends on 3rd party libraries (so it would have dependencies), then I don't see any magic...

Well, I guess users should be entitled to express their opinions, shouldn't they?
For the most part I agree with NLS.
