Great. What I was actually waiting for someone to make!
You understand that such a feature set, actually makes it IMPERATIVE to work with x64 and the latest kernel without tricks.

Any chance of a "spoiler" on this topic in particular?
"(fully manageable through the dashboard)"
Means the OS considers it as a PROPER drive so it actually shows up on SBSE/WHS (v2) dashboard as a volume. This will allow it to be used for shares, system backup etc.
GREAT.
Of course I have to see it with my eyes first.

Hehehe interesting.
Still hold various NDAs from Microsoft.

Great. I might actually start using JBOD functionality.
(currently I have it enabled but I prefer to use my "native" -unfortunately multiple- shares)

(mistake)

Any news on this front?

Well something WAS cached after all.
A few ctrl-F5 and I am almost ok.
"Almost" because my (JBOD) pool configuration is missing (my parity configuration is still there though), so I need to recreate it from scratch.

xliv wrote:Your logs show that you did not completely remove the installation folder after uninstall. There are some logs there from the previous version. You should try:
- uninstall
- completely remove the openegg folder
- reboot
- install again
- force the brs refresh (ctrl F5, then refresh button)
Yes it did not remove old logs and an irrelevant folder. Why is that important?
Anyway I will do those steps anyway.

Well do the logs say anything to the developer or not?

The second is not the case (yes checked).
The first I doubt... easily checked though.

With XII install GUI comes up "empty desktop" and it's menu is also empty.
There is an error popping bottom right, but attaching the log is better...
I suspect it is related to my locale being Greece? (UI is English though)

just got back from vacations... let's check this out...

You rush it too much.

I guess you can manually do it.
You need some Linux that fits on USB, install FlexRAID on it and all config and why not.

Ah, ok, it's not like it saved you or something, just that it migrated well.

Sorry I don't understand what you got from FlexRAID that you wouldn't get just from moving your data disks to the other machine?

Happened to me too.
In fact I thought I lost files.
But they were there... shouldn't be as I didn't use the JBOD system.
In any case this is for an old version and I want to believe 2.X doesn't have such issues.

What windows update?
If it is directly related, we have to know which.
(of course I am further back - I don't even get a merged pool at all - will wait for Brahim's debugging next weekend)

You are a bit confused but still I don't think FlexRAID is for you.
You see FlexRAID would need to see your data disks separately (and each one become a DRU). In RAID6 not only you cannot see them separately, but you also cannot "distinguish" the data from the double parity (it is not a separate disk, it is distributed on the blocks).
Since FlexRAID is file based though, if your folders could be arranged in a way where you assign a few on each DRU and make some kind of evenly distributed DRUs, then you need just one disk (USB) with the size of the largest of your DRUs.
STILL this is not much help, as if three disks die, your array goes down fully (hardware-wise) PLUS you won't know from where you lost what (as data are block distributed among all the disks).
In any case I don't see how FlexRAID could be used practically for your needs (and in fact why you need it).

Great.
Hope SMF supports users using their OWN time-zones...
There is a plugin for what you want I think:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wpsmf/
...I wouldn't bother with this if I were you. It's not a huge thing to re-register esp. since posts will not be migrated.
After all since you plan to merge those accounts with bug.flexraid, what will happen to people that have already registered there? Why not use that database?

So at this point what do you suggest?
I could even give you TeamViewer access if you wanna check my setup out yourself. As a "debug" proposal.
